June 20th & 21st, 2008 Winnamucca, Battle Mountain
After a long ride from colorado we finally made it to the first night. We took the runner up spot in the heat and were battling a carb problem. For the main we started outside pole and ran top five the whole race and ended up fifth.
The second day we won our heat race and ended up starting second row inside. We took the lead right of the bat and started to pull away until a car flipped over on its lid. So when we got started the second place car decided to move me and ended up blowing out my left front. Did not work still drove away and let the rest until we have a yellow after the white came out "yes it should of been over giving me the win" so on the restart the same guy drove through me taking me and him out thankfully. I guess we will start playing rough like they do if i want some respect out there. But overall we have alot of fun on our trip!!
May 24th, 2008 Alamosa, Colorado
After arriving late to the track we had to scramble to get ready for the heats. After my brother pulled me a pole position pill i was very satisfied with that. I won my heat and pulled a number six pill for the A-Main. The track was in great condition nice and dry how i like it. the top six cars were all bunched up and battling for every inch. We fought it out till the end an i ended up in fifth place. It was a good night.
The second day started of good then went to horrible really fast. While trying to load Regans motor in the trailer i managed to crush my finger. So my brother was thrown into the driver seat for track roll in. I am sure he did not want to come in. So with a jacked finger i went out for the heat race and ended up in second securing an a main start. With a third row inside start i figured i would be patient and take my time but at the start the 11 cars door flew of and blocked my view and when it came of the was a car sideways which meant to the rear i go. I figured the guy who lost the door would be in the back to but i guess they did not want to read the baby talk on the internet. so after a million laps under caution they pulled us of and got situated and then sent us back to the track. So now in last and we went green and i managed to pull a 6th place finish off so it was good.
May 17th, 2008
Olathe, Colorado.
The track was in pretty good condition for the race on saturday. We started the 2nd heat in the second row outside and made it to third. For the main we lined up third row inside and after the first two restarts we finally got a couple laps to shake the car down. I knew the car was fast after i got some laps on it. We went green and got some laps and I took the lead on the seventh lap and pulled away until a caution let Regan Tafoya bring the heat. We restarted and my car pushed in turn 3 allowing Regan to get by me. I followed for awhile until i was ready to go for it. I got under Regan coming out turn 2 and pulled ahead with a lap to go and the lead. I hung on to it for the win and a perfect finish to a great night!!
March 11th - We have posted our 2008 Schedule.
Jan. 4th - On January 4th Tyrone Yazzie and myself decided to pack up the car and head to Oklahoma City for the Eddie Martin chassis and shock seminar. We left Farmington New Mexico friday night and would arrive around 5:30 in the morning after an all night drive. After getting some sleep in the car we went to check out the Oklahoma City bombing memorial site which was a very amazing but sad experience. We took pictures and then we went to Hooters Sports Bar for the wings of course. We spent a while there then it was time for the class. The class was very well taught and we both learned allot about multiple subjects.When the class was over we decided to get some sleep. On the drive home we had some trouble with a flat tire then finding out all the mountain passes we closed because of all the snow we hade to figure out an alt. route.
We made it home around 1:30 monday morning to end a awesome trip. Check out the Pics from our trip.
